Dr Yannick Lacroix is the Founder and Managing Director of Calixor Pharma Consulting. Yannick is a medicinal chemist with 10 years experience in large pharma who has worked on a wide range of biological target classes for several disease areas. He has deep expertise in the various early stages of drug discovery, ranging from identification of hit compounds from HTS or fragment-based screens, all the way to candidate molecule selection. Yannick has led the medicinal and synthetic chemistry strategies of various programmes and has experience in managing projects involving large teams at Contract Research Organisations.

 

Yannick’s areas of expertise include:

• Design of small molecules incorporating the latest principles of drug-like properties.

• Structure-activity relationship analysis and multi-parameters optimization (biological potency, physicochemical and DMPK properties, in vivo efficacy).

• Supervision of hit identification efforts using ligand-based and structure-based design.

• Use of computational chemistry tools for successful compounds optimization.

• Management of medicinal chemistry projects at CRO.

• Devise strategic plans of drug discovery projects for investors, including time and cost estimations.
